Star Wars Collection
As part of the 2010 global Adidas Originals campaign we returned to the streets to celebrate originality and launch a series of collaborations. To promote the new adidas Originals Star Wars collection we dropped a reimagined version of the famous cantina scene as well as a viral app that allowed people to prank a friend by blowing up their block with a galactic sized trefoil laser beam. The app mashed up footage from Lucas films with the Google Earth API to target a friend via geo location or postcode. It also pulled in Facebook user data to make the experience feel even more personal. Initially created for the UK market the campaign literally blew up on social media and fashion lifestyle blogs.
