The challenge: generate industry and media buzz by positioning adidas Originals as a leader in innovation …oh and put product at the center of the experience! Our solution was to design a line of new sneakers with Augmented Reality markers that unlock a 3D virtual world with games and content related to the 2010 global campaign.
Owners of the shoes could help Ciara mix a new track, shoot Stormtroopers with water balloons and help pro skateboarder Tim O’Connor navigate the skatepark all whilst using the shoe as the controller. The campaign was covered by Wired, Hypebeast, Contagious, Trendhunter, CNN, Bloomberg and TBS Japan among others …mission accomplished!
